Girafa.com, Inc. ("Girafa") takes your privacy seriously. We recognize that privacy is an important issue, and we design and operate our services with the protection of your privacy in mind. This statement applies to Girafa's information collection and use policies with respect to any Girafa software installed on your computer and/or the services we supply on our web site/s (collectively "Services").

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Girafa Web Site Information
When you visit the Girafa Web site, Girafa does not collect any personally identifying information about you, unless you choose to voluntarily provide us with such information. ("Personally identifying information" is information that individually identifies you, such as your name, physical address or email address).
Girafa may collect limited non-personally identifying information your browser or system makes available. We use this information to operate, develop and improve our services, and your experience with Girafa. We do not track the Web sites that you visit before or after you leave the Girafa site.

Customer Service Correspondence
If you send us correspondence, including e-mails, Web site forms, and faxes, we retain such information in our records. We will also retain customer service correspondence and other correspondence from Girafa to you. We retain these records in order to evaluate and improve our customer service. We may, over time, delete these records if permitted by law.

The Girafa Toolbar software
The Girafa Toolbar is not a spyware. The Girafa Toolbar (version 2.12 and above) does not require and does not collect any personally identifiable information.
The Girafa Toolbar, installed on your computer, does not collect information about the web pages you are viewing, or about anything on your computer. In order for you to use the service offered via the toolbar, the Girafa Toolbar contacts our servers to receive thumbnail images of the Web pages you need, for display on the toolbar, to update those thumbnail images, and to check if you are running the most current version of the toolbar. If necessary, you will receive a notification that a new version or a patch is available for the toolbar version you are using. You can either install the new version, or continue to use the version you already have installed on your computer.

The Girafa Thumbnail Service
The Girafa Thumbnail Service is a service for Web site owners that would like to display Girafa's images on their site. In order to start using this service, you will need to register for an account. When registering for the Girafa Thumbnail Service, Girafa asks you for some personal information in order to create an account, (such as your name, email address and physical address) and we will use that information to provide you with the service. Some of the Girafa Thumbnail Services require credit card or other payment information, and in such a case you will be redirected to a secure site where you can make payment. We do not retain credit card or other payment identification information on our servers.
We retain and use the information you provide in order to deliver and make the Girafa Thumbnail Service you registered for available to you.

The Link Preview Service
The Link Preview service is a service for Web site owners who would like to display Girafa's images and Link Preview code on their site/s. In order to start using this service, you will need to sign up for a Link Preview account. When registering for the Link Preview service, Girafa asks you for your name, email address and web site URL, and we will use that information to provide you with the service.
We retain and use the information you provide in order to deliver and make the Link Preview service you registered for available to you.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data that identifies you as a unique user. When you visit certain areas of the Girafa Web site (such as Customer's account pages), we set a cookie on your computer to help identify you, customize your experience and maintain your account. You can disable any use of cookies by selecting your web browser's "disable cookies" option, or reset your browser to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some Girafa features or services may not function properly if you disable cookies in your web-browser software.

IP address
An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a number that's automatically assigned to a computer when using the Internet. Web servers can automatically identify individual computers by their IP address. Girafa may use IP addresses to administer the Girafa Web site, track user's movement on the Girafa Web site, and gather broad demographic information about visitors of the Girafa Web site for aggregate use.

Other web sites and links
The Services include and contain links to other sites. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Girafa web site, and specifically does not apply to other companies' or organizations' Web sites, which the Girafa site and/or Services may link to.

DO WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We do not sell or rent personally identifiable information to others. We may, however, disclose personally identifiable information when:
   i. we believe we are required to do so by law;
   ii. we have your consent to share the information;
  iii. we have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Girafa, its users or the public; or
   iv. we have engaged companies to work with us or on our behalf to provide a product or service that you have requested (for example, billing services for the Girafa Thumbnail Service is operated by PayPal. As such, both Girafa and PayPal may collect and share your information to fulfill your service order).

Personal information collected by Girafa may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Girafa or its agents maintain facilities. By using the Services, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

We may share aggregate non-personally identifiable information with others. Examples of this include the number of users who searched for "Cars" or how many users clicked on a particular link.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY INFORMATION?

If you are a user of the Girafa Thumbnail Service, you can access and edit your account information at any time by clicking on the "Update User Information" link at https://tserver.girafa.com.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically. We expect most such changes to be minor, but there may be changes that are more significant. Regardless, we will post those changes on this page so that you can easily find the information we collect and how we safeguard it. You should be able to readily notice any changes by the date stamp at the bottom of this page.

In case you continue to use Girafa after a change has been notified (whether by direct communication or by a notice on our website) you will be deemed to have agreed to the Privacy Policy.
